Wheeler Boys Win at home on Senior Night The Bearcats celebrated their nine seniors and earned a 1-0 victory over Boone Grove. Senior Tyne Vettickal scored and was assisted by fellow senior Harper Schaberg. Senior keeper Caleb McLaughlin made over 10 saves in the shutout and was assisted by senior defenders Connor Morley and Randy Johnson. Seniors JJ Blevins and Joaquin da Silva started and provided energy to the team. Seniors Louay Zeitoun, Schaberg, and Ryan Smith took control of the midfield in the second half to preserve the win. Wheeler travels to Illiana Christian on Thursday, September 18, with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
