Wheeler Athletics

WHS Boys Soccer lost to LaPorte HS 3-1. The Bearcats only had 1 sub and had to play with only 10 players at times. Harper Schaberg scored Wheeler's goal in the first half to tie the match. The Bearcats Boys kept the game close on a very hot and humid day, but fatigue set in during the second half leading to LaPorte's two goals. Caleb McLaughlin played well in goal and had numerous saves. Harper, Connor Morley, Louay Zeitoun, Luke Morley, and Erik Diaz made significant contributions throughout the day. Wheeler will have their home opener on Wednesday, August 20, with a 5:30 p.m. kickoff.
