Wheeler Athletics

The boys basketball team traveled to North Judson-San Pierre Jr/Sr High School last night to participate the Sectional Tournament. Their opponent was the heavily favored Bluejays of North Judson-San Pierre. It was a struggle to schore the basketball, but the boys fought hard until the end eventually falling by a final score of 59-30. It was a disappointing end to a season that saw a lot of improvement from the entire basketball program. The Bearcats finished their season with a record of 3-20. The entire coaching staff is extremely appreciative of our four senior leaders who devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy to Wheeler Basketball over their high school careers. Austin Goodrich, Jalen Lewis, Marcos Silva, and Drake Simatovich are all outstanding young men who will be missed by the Wheeler Basketball Program.
