Wheeler Varsity Bearcats Triumph Over South Central

Wheeler Varsity Bearcats were triumphant over South Central 5-4 on Tuesday. South Central were the first to get on the board in the first when #23 tripled, scoring one run. South Central added one run in the second. #23 walked, making the score 2-0. Wheeler Varsity Bearcats jumped into the lead in the top of the fifth when Nick Bravo singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs. Bravo led things off on the mound for Wheeler Varsity Bearcats. The hurler surrendered three hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking five. Nick Micciche and David Lindlow each appeared in relief for Wheeler Varsity Bearcats. Braden Olson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Wheeler Varsity Bearcats with two runs batted in. Lindlow went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Wheeler Varsity Bearcats in hits. Bravo stole two bases. Wheeler Varsity Bearcats ran wild on the base paths, amassing four stolen bases for the game. #5 led South Central with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The center fielder went 1-for-3 on the day. #1, #23, #5, and #3 each collected one hit for South Central. #10 led South Central with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game.
