The Wheeler High boys' golf team opened its season with a victory over River Forest and Griffith at Indian Ridge Country Club on Thursday afternoon. Junior Mark Gillen was medalist with a 45, followed closely by junior Jake Robinson, senior Caleb Klimczak, and sophomore Logan Fox. The Bearcats shot the 4 lowest scores of the match to post a solid team score of 192. Next up is another conference match on Tuesday at Innsbrook Country Club.
