The Wheeler Boys Swim Team swum 9 personal best times dropping a close meet to a greatly improved Merrillville team 65 to 96 bringing their overall record to 10 – 9. Tommy Emery came in first on the 50 and 100 yard Freestyle events and the 400 Free Relay team consisting of Max and Stephen Claussen, Ayden Johnson, and Tommy also came in first. Highlights of the meet were Stephen Claussen PR-ing twice, an epic come from over 8 seconds behind victory in the 400 Free Relay by the A relay team, and the B 400 Free Relay consisting of Chris Benefit, Ryan Stoner, Ben Gutwein, and Randy Johnson out touching their Pirate competition by 0.2 seconds to also take third in the relay. The Boys last dual meet of the season will be next Wednesday when they host LaPorte. Come out and cheer your Bearcats on!
