Wheeler Athletics

The Wheeler Bearcats won a Greater South Shore Conference game over the Whiting Oilers last night 62-36. Wheeler was led in scoring by Nick Scott with 18 points. The team improved its record to 8-3 overall and 2-2 in the GSSC. The JV Bearcats also picked up their second conference win defeating the Oilers by a score of 44-32. They were led in scoring by Sean Schafer with 18 points. The JV cats have an identical 8-3 overall and 2-2 conference record as the Varsity. Both teams take the court again tonight when they host the DeMotte Christian Knights in a non-conference game. The JV tipoff is set for 5:30pm
