Wheeler Athletics

The Wheeler Boys Swim Team defeated Griffith and Calumet 68 to 37 to 12 respectively. Individual first place finishers were Tommy Emery in the 200 and 500 Freestyles, Stephen Claussen in the Individual Medley and 100 Free, and Ben Gutwein in the Breaststroke. The boys 2 Free and 4 Free relay teams consisting of Stephen and Max Claussen, Randy and Aden Johnson, and Tommy Emery also recorded first place finishes. Highlight of the meet was Sam Mooney completing the 500 yard Freestyle for the his first time. The boys next meet will be next Thursday when they host Kankakee Valley.
