After suffering a close loss to North Judson 75 to 78 on Wednesday where Tommy Emery broke the 100 yard Butterfly Pool record that had been standing since 1982 by 2.28 seconds, the Bearcat Boy Swimmers bounced back and edged out conference rival North Newton by a score of 82 to 75. First place finishers vs Judson were Tommy Emery in the 200 Free and Fly, Stephan Claussen on the Backstroke, and the 200 Freestyle Relay team consisting of Stephen Claussen, Ayden and Randy Johnson, and Tommy Emery. First place finishers vs Newton were again, Tommy Emery in the 2Free and Fly, Randy Johnson in the 100 Free, and the 2Free Relay of Tommy, Randy, and Stephen and Max Claussen. Second place finishes were recorded by Stephen Claussen on the Individual Medley and Backstroke, Ryan Stoner in the 50 Free and Backstroke, Titus Parrish in the 100 Free and Breaststroke, Max Claussen in the 500 Free, and the Relay teams consisting of Christian Bouma, Titus Parrish, Randy Johnson, Chris Benefit, Tommy Emery, and Stephen and Max Claussen.
