The Wheeler Bearcats won their third game of the week and picked up their first Conference win at Lake Station Edison Friday night. The final score was 67-51, and a balanced scoring effort from the Bearcats was led by Caleb McLaughlin with 17, Marek Barton 14, and Logan Fox with 10 points. Marek Barton led the team with 12 rebounds, David Diaz added 8, and Carter Blane had 7. Nick Scott led the team in assists with 4. The Bearcats improved their record to 4-2 and 1-1 in the Greater South Shore Conference. The JV Bearcats improved their record to 5-1 on the year and 1-1 in the GSSC. winning 45-40. Sean Schafer led the team with 16 points and Cash Kostbade added 10. Both teams take the court again next Saturday 12-21 against the John Glenn Falcons in the final game before Christmas.
