The Boy Bearcats swam 19 season and 16 personal bests in a 41 to 132 losing effort vs Portage on Saturday. Best times were swum by Stephen and Max Claussen, Chris Benefit, Ryan Stoner, Ayden Johnson, Greg Gillan, Sam Mooney, Ben Gutwein (2), Randy Johnson (2), Christian Bouma (2), Titus Parrish (2), and Tommy Emery (4). Tommy was the Bearcats only first place finisher doing so on the 100-yard Butterfly. The relay teams consisting of Stephen and Max Claussen, Randy Johnson, Tommy Emery, Titus Parrish, and Chris Benefit finished strong and earned second place finishes. Highlights of the meet were all the PR’s including both Breaststrokers (Titus and Ben), the exiting finish where the Medley Relay team swam very well but unfortunately just got out touched at the wall by 0.1 seconds, and Ayden taking almost 1-1/2 minutes off his 500 Freestyle best time while Max got his second best time ever in the same event. The Bearcats next meet will be On Thursday December 12th hosting Lowell. Go Bearcats!
