To say that the Lady Bearcat Girls varsity is improving would be an understatement. Our Lady Bearcats faced 13th state ranked Demotte Christian in an exciting game that was fought to the end. The final was Demotte Christian 49 Lady Bearcats 28. Though losing by 21 does not sound too close the Lady Bearcats was the first team this year to hold Demotte Christian under 50 points. (Demotte averages 63.9 ppg). Abby Ordonez and Mia DeJesus led in scoring with 8 points each. Cailyn Harris had 6. Kendyl Chevalier 4, and Lexi Cutka 2. The entire team played great defense especially considering that they were missing Megan Vincent and Rae Hesser. The Lady Bearcats face 5th state ranked Morgan Township on Thursday and then conference rival River Forest on Friday!
