Wheeler Athletics

The girls soccer team played Illiana Christian to a 1-1 tie in regulation behind terrific defense from Genevieve Mills, Trinity McEwan, Emma Stiener, London Holm, and Justyna Podzcerwinski which held Illiana scoreless for the first 62 minutes. Abby Ordonez gathered up another 19 saves in the effort. The offense produced multiple scoring opportunities created by Grace Christos, Molly Morley, Emily Mistina, and Jessica Surufka. The lone goal was scored by Emerson Marrs off an assist from Lauren Hostetler. The bearcats lose the game in the overtime shoutout.
