Wheeler Athletics

The Bearcat Boys competed in a five-team meet coming in second behind Munster and defeating Calumet, Hammond Morton, and Gary Westside. Over winter break, they dropped tough meets vs. Michigan City 69 to 87 and also got outscored by Hobart. Valient efforts were made with all of the guys swimming new personal best times and Max Claussen grinding out a new event, the 200 Individual Medley, and Randy Johnson doing the same with the 200 Free, to help increase the total team points scored, but the Bearcat swimmers unfortunately came up a hair short being a much smaller team and not having any divers. Those two defeats evened their season record to 8 and 8 heading into Conferences.
