Wheeler Athletics

The Varsity Boys Basketball team lost a tough game to the Boone Grove Wolves on the first of February at home. Leading scoring was Sophomore Nick Scott (18), followed closely by Sophomore Tyne Vettickal (12). As a team the bearcats shot well from the 3 point line - 9/20 (45%). The Cats also ended with 18 assists on the night. The Junior Varsity boys were ready to avenge last seasons loss to the wolves and did just that. The first three quarters were too close for comfort but the Bearcats outscored the Wolves 15 - 5 in the fourth to secure victory. Three Bearcats ended with double digit scoring and they were Chase Stoner (10), Caleb McLaughlin (13), and leading was David Diaz (14).
