Wheeler Athletics

The Lady Bearcats Basketball team won its 3rd game in a row beating VCA 34 to 11. The Lady Bearcats were without varsity players Megan Vincent, Leilani Gaetz, and Lily Boner but still managed to beat Victory Christian Academy by 23. This was a team effort and all players contributed! Izabela Schumaker led in scoring with 9 points. Ava Lukawski had 7, Abby Ordonez 6, Lexi Cutka 6, Ashlynne Trinidad 3, Genevieve Mills 2, Mackenzie Campbell 2, Emma Steiner 1. Emma Steiner, Izabella Schumaker and Ava Lukawski led both teams in rebounding, Genevieve Mills had some nice assists, and Lexi Cutka and Abby Ordonez led in steals! Reese Luedtke got her first varsity steal and Mackenzie Campbell scored her first varsity basket tonight!
