Wheeler Athletics

The Wheeler Bearcats picked up their first conference win of the season over the River Forest Ingots 43-39. It was a hard fought contest that saw the score tied at halftime and the end of the third quarter. Wheeler was led by Brady Rife's 16 points and Nick Scott's 11 points. Brady Rife also won the toughness player of the night by taking a charge, diving on the floor after two lose balls to save possessions, and deflecting a few Ingot passes. The JV Bearcats fell to River Forest on Thursday night @ River Forest by a final score of 47-37. Caleb McLaughlin led the Bearcats with 17 points in the contest. Both teams will travel to LaCrosse, IN on Tuesday 12/5/23 to play against the Tri-Townshp Tigers. Tip-off is set for 5:30PM for the JV Contest, and both Bearcat squads will enter the game with 2-1 Records.
