Wheeler Athletics

The Bearcats added yet another statement victory to their undefeated season, taking down a talented Calumet squad 42–6 on the road. Wheeler knew coming in that this matchup would be a test, but when the final whistle blew, it was the Warriors who had been tested. Offensively, the Bearcats continued to impose their will with a powerful rushing attack. Levi Murray once again served as a driving force, rushing for 158 yards and finding the end zone four times as he continues his incredible season as Indiana’s top scorer. Logan Fox added another dimension to the offense through the air, throwing for 216 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, the Bearcats were relentless. After allowing six points, Wheeler slammed the door and kept Calumet off the scoreboard the rest of the night. The defense swarmed to the football and made it difficult for the Warriors to establish any rhythm. Keegan Catone led the charge with 12 tackles and a fumble recovery, while Cash Micciche added eight tackles and a sack. With the 42–6 victory, the Bearcats improve to 7–0 and keep their undefeated season alive. Now, the focus shifts to Week 8 as Wheeler prepares to take on Whiting at home.
