The Wheeler Boys Soccer team defeated Kouts 2-0. Blake Handley scored the Bearcats first goal and was assisted by Owen Missey. Cooper Burton scored on a corner kick from Harper Schaberg. Spencer Schaberg recorded a shutout. With the win the Bearcats advance to the Sectional Championship against Andrean. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, at Andrean High School in Merrillville, Indiana.
