On a sunny but chilly and breezy afternoon at Wicker Park Golf Course in Highland, the boys' golf team completed a quick turnaround from their disappointing finish at the GSSC Tournament to defeat Portage High School and host Highland. In a true team win, the Bearcats outdistanced Portage 175-206 and took the win over Highland on the 5th-score tiebreaker, as both schools posted identical 175's through the top four scores. The boys now have a record of 17-4 overall. Senior Ryan Smith paced the team with a 6-over-par 42, while junior Luke Pohlmeyer (pictured) posted his best score in varsity competition with a 44. Next up for the Bearcats is a Senior Night home match at Innsbrook Country Club on Tuesday May 26th.
