On Wednesday afternoon at Indian Ridge, the WHS boys' golf team improved their overall record to 15-4 while running their GSSC conference record to 6-1, defeating North Newton and Calumet. The Bearcats posted their best score of the season, firing a 4-man total of 167. Leading the way for Wheeler was senior Mark Gillen with a 41, followed by matching 42's from seniors Jake Robinson and Ryan Smith and sophomore Logan Hunt. Next up for the Bearcats is the GSSC Tournament on Monday at Palmira Golf Course.
