Wheeler Athletics

Yesterday at a frigid Sandy Pines Golf Club, the Wheeler boys' golf team kicked off their season by shooting a team score of 196. This was not good enough to beat host Kankakee Valley, but they were able to edge out a scrappy North Newton team and also beat Victory Christian Academy. Low scorer for the 'Cats was Senior Jake Robinson, who carded a solid 44 in tough conditons. The team is back in action today at Indian Ridge in a quadrangular GSSC match vs. River Forest, Griffith and Calumet.
