Wheeler Athletics

The girls varsity and junior varsity teams showed up strong on opening night against the Morgan Township Cherokees. JV went 2-1, their teamwork really showing through adversity. Varsity had a come from behind win after being down 2 sets to none. The Bearcats were led in kills by Megan Beck (10) and Christen Haas (9). All three setters got to show their skills, Cori Weiland had 16 assists and Kayleann Anderson and Lexi Cutka each had 3. Leading digs was Haas with 14 and Abby Allen with 12. The Bearcats will see action again on Wednesday and Thursday this week at home.
