Despite the final score, the Bearcats showcased toughness and promise, highlighted by three standout victories. Anika Villarruel set the tone with an assertive win by pin, giving Wheeler early momentum. Avery Konopacki followed with a dominant performance of her own, securing another pin to keep the Bearcats within striking distance. Closing out Wheeler’s victories, Lilith Watts added the team’s third pin of the day, demonstrating strong technique and control in her matchup.
