Wheeler Boys Soccer opened their 2023 season with a win at LaPorte High School on Saturday, August 12. Senior Spencer Schaberg saved four shots to earn a shutout. The defense was led by S. Schaberg, Cooper Burton, Jacob Franczek, Christopher Benefit, Calvin Paolone, and Jovanco Mizimak. Wheeler's offense kept the pressure on LaPorte throughout the match with over 10 shots on goal. Wheeler Boys Soccer has their home opener on Wednesday, August 16, against Lowell High School. Wheeler expects a big turnout by their fans for the 5:30 p.m. kickoff.
